A delegation of IFRA-Nigeria, composed of Dr. Gerard Chouin, Dr. Elodie Apard-Malah and Manuel Reinert, responded to the invitation of the Center for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law (CPEEL).
Established in 2011 as a MacArthur Foundation-funded Centre of Excellence in the University of Ibadan, CPEEL is a multidisciplinary research centre which aims at training high-skilled personnel and conducting cutting-edge research on energy. The institution’s comprehensive approach to energy-related issues goes from natural sciences and engineering to economics, social sciences and law (see more at http://cpeel.ui.edu.ng/).
IFRA team was greeted by Prof. Adeola Adenikinju (director), Prof. Akin Iwayemi (principal investigator), Dr. P. C. Obutte (deputy-director) and other members of the academic staff. Dual research projects and other means of association/collaboration have been enthusiastically discussed by the all participants. IFRA-Nigeria looks forward to working closer with this new centre.
