Rouven Kunstmann is reading for a Doctor of Philosophy in History at the University of Oxford, St. Antony’s College. He studied History, Philosophy and Political Sciences at the Leibniz Universität Hannover (Germany), the Universidad de Deusto in Bilbao (Spain) and the University of Oxford (United Kingdom). His doctoral thesis deals with Print Culture in Southern Nigeria and Southern Ghana focussing on the emergence of nationalism, visuality, and professionalization. (...)

Dr. Saheed Aderinto, Assistant Professor of African History at Western Carolina University, North Carolina, USA is an IFRA-Nigeria Scholar-in-Residence from May 16 - June 14. He is currently working on a new project on cocoa conflict, intra-ethnic politics, and land tenure in southwestern Nigeria, while completing his book length manuscript on the history of sexuality in colonial Lagos.
