Mercredi 9 mars 2022 à 16h, l'IFRA-Nigeria a organisé séminaire de recherche en ligne sur le thème "Les statistiques coloniales et post-coloniales en Afrique de l'Ouest (XIXè-XXè siècles)" avec Béatrice Touchelay (Université de Lille, rattachée à l'Institut de Recherches Historiques du Septentrion (IRHiS), UMR CNRS 8529 et détachée en 2021-2022 au laboratoire TELEMMe UMR CNRS 7303 Université Aix-Marseille). Elle était accueillie en séjour de recherche à Ibadan en février 2022.
Le séminaire a eu lieu sur Zoom, le 9 mars 2022 à 16h.
IFRA-Nigeria organized a talk with Deng Zheyuan, PhD Student from the Center for Global Islamic Studies, University of Florida, on the theme: “Ahmadiyya and the Aroloya Mosque Case in colonial Lagos”. The event took place on Tuesday 15th February at 4pm, in Drapers Hall in the Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan.

IFRA-Nigeria and the French Gender Institute organized an Online Research Seminar on the theme: "Reflections on Gender Studies in Nigeria. Issues, perspectives and debates".
This Online Seminar took place on Zoom, on February 10th, at 3pm.

Bernard Caron, Emeritus Research Director at LLACAN (UMR 8135, CNRS-INALCO-EPHE), posted at IFRA from 2017 to 2019, presented a seminar on language documentation on Thursday, November 18. It was a preview of the final website of the ANR project NaijaSynCor (A syntactic treebank, a parser and a wiktionary for Naija), which he directed from February 2017 to September 2021.
Nigeria Watch project is launching a monthly Online Research Seminar Series: "Hard Facts and Body Counts: Understanding Violence through the Nigeria Watch Database". The series will be the opportunity to analyse data retrieved from Nigeria Watch database, with a specific focus every month.

On Tuesday 21st September, Abdulhafiz Wando (Phd candidate, History department, King's College London) presented his research on the history of NGOs in Borno. He focused on their perception by the inhabitants of the region (Drapers' Hall - Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan).

2ND ONLINE DOCTORAL SEMINAR: "COEXISTING WATERSCAPES IN N'DJAMENA"
On Thursday 21st of May, at 1pm, IFRA-Nigeria hosted its second online doctoral seminar through Facebook live. The seminar on “Coexisting waterscapes in N’Djamena: moral economy of porting versus infrastructural network expansion?" was facilitated by Ismael Maazaz, a PhD candidate in African Studies, at the Centre of African Studies, University of Edinburgh.
The doctoral seminar is an opportunity for the PhD candidates to present their first findings and methodologies and get feedbacks from their peers. It is open to all but especially young researchers in social sciences (master and PhD level) with an interest on urban infrastructures and public policies.
1st ONLINE DOCTORAL SEMINAR: "THE POLITICS OF BUS CORRIDOR: A STUDY OF THE LAGOS BRT IMPLEMENTATION"
On Thursday 30th of April, at 1pm, IFRA-Nigeria hosted its first online doctoral seminar through Facebook live. The seminar on “The Politics of a Bus Corridor: a study of the Lagos Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) implementation" will be facilitated by Fatoumata Diallo, a PhD candidate in political sciences at the CERI (Centre for International Research, Sciences Po, Paris, France)
The doctoral seminar is an opportunity for the PhD candidates to present their first findings and methodologies and get feedbacks from their peers. This particular seminar focused on Fatoumata Diallo's fieldwork in 2020 on the implementation of the BRT system in Lagos. It is open to all but especially young researchers in social sciences (master and PhD level) with an interest on transports, urban issues and public policies.
